Party Floor

What is the Party Floor?

The Party Floor is a floor of themed parties for 21+ con attendees operated by members of our community. Party hosts sign up for a room (see below) on the floor and throw an open party at the convention on Friday and Saturday nights. Parties typically give out drinks and/or snacks, will have music, and will be themed or decorated. Party hosts often put out donation jars or provide links to electronic payment; please consider supporting the parties you visit or hosting a party!

Vote For Best Party

This year for 2025 we will be giving all 21+ attendees a token to vote for the best party. Drop this in the donation jar of their favorite party, and the party with the most tokens will be awarded at closing ceremonies a free room for all nights of the convention and 2 Super Sponsor Registrations for 2026 PAWCon, (est. $1000 value)

Become a Party Host

Being part of the Furry Fandom is about participation, and we greatly appreciate those who chose to host a party. You are helping make PAWCon very special.

To host a party you need:

  1. To fill out the party floor application on PAWCon Apply
  2. To agree to run an open party Friday and Saturday night. If you can only do one-night priority will be given to those willing to host both evenings; typically 7 or 8 pm - 12 am.
  3. If you plan to serve alcohol at your party you must have at least one member of your crew be RBS Certified. This is a $12-15 online course + a $3 online test from the State of California (ABC). This cert teaches you everything you need to know to safely serve alcohol including local laws and liability. The cert is good for 3 years and is required by all bartenders in the state. If you are looking to get into hospitality this is a great resume item. In 2024 we made it optional and had 100% of party hosts complete the certification.
  4. Be willing to check IDs and follow local and state laws and safety while serving guests.
  5. Optional: a description of your party and donation links we can publish on the PAWCon Website in the Party Floor Online Directory. Deadline: October 3rd.

If you have never hosted a party before, have no fear. Our party floor coordinator is happy to work with you to answer any questions, as well as provide a multi-page run book on everything you need to know from nearby wholesalers to purchase cups, mixers, syrups, and supplies to tips on theme and donation collection. We have a group chat for party hosts and a great community to connect and collaborate with.
